Exo Edu is an innovative educational platform dedicated to empowering the next generation through immersive programs in sustainability, ESG, and social innovation.
Our flagship offering is the Sustainability Explorer Program, a study trip program which combines global certification in sustainability & ESG, hands-on learning, with forward-thinking organizations.
The program is designed for students aged around 15 – 23 years old who are in high school, college, and university —especially those with a passion for sustainability and social innovation. We welcome international students eager to gain real-world experience.
Participants will:
a. Earn a globally recognized certification in sustainability and ESG innovation by GIMI Impact
b. Engage in immersive study trips, including explorations in Malaysian Borneo.
c. Gain practical, hands-on experience in real-world sustainability initiatives.
d. Gain insights to cultural exchanges exposure while you are at it

About Our Global Graduate Internships

Our internship placement process is simple and supportive: first, you apply online with your resume; then we review your application and schedule an interview. Based on your profile, we match you with a partner organization and provide you with placement confirmation and onboarding details, along with ongoing support for lodging, transportation, and meals during your internship.
Our internship program is open to university and college students from a range of disciplines—including sustainability, marketing, hospitality, tourism, and related fields—who are eager to gain hands-on experience and make an impact in a global work environment.
Our internship placements are located across various regions in Malaysia. We partner with a diverse range of organizations, giving you the chance to work in different cities and cultural environments throughout the country.

Interns are matched with partner organizations based on your individual career goals and interests. Our team carefully reviews your profile to ensure you are paired with a placement that aligns with your aspirations. In some placements, you may also be required to organize an in-house project, providing a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the organization's objectives.
Our internship package includes meals, accommodation, visa application, depending on your selected package. Please note that flights are not included.
Our internships are available in two durations: 3 months or 6 months, depending on your availability and career goals.

About Borneensis

The Borneensis Gallery Living Lab showcases the rich biodiversity of Sabah, highlighting rare, unique, and endemic flora and fauna. Among the fascinating species on display are the gibbon, bearcat, moon rat, pangolin, civet, slow loris, and proboscis monkey. One of its most remarkable exhibits is "Tagas," the world’s only skeleton model of the Bornean pygmy elephant, offering visitors a rare glimpse into this elusive species.
This gallery is housed within the Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation (Institut Biologi Tropika dan Pemuliharaan), a renowned research institute under Universiti Malaysia Sabah in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. As part of the university’s commitment to conservation and education, the gallery serves as a hub for research, learning, and appreciation of Borneo’s extraordinary wildlife.
Students can engage in a variety of activities, including:
• Guided tours to learn more about the exhibits and conservation efforts.
• Viewing insects under a microscope for a closer look at Borneo’s tiny yet fascinating creatures.
• Exploring the diversity of Sabah’s flora and fauna, featuring rare and endemic species.
• Participating in interactive games designed to enhance learning about biodiversity.
• Visiting different exhibit areas, including the upper lobby, level 1, enclave, atrium, and lower level.
• Specimen collecting and curation (available upon request) for those interested in scientific research and conservation.
Yes, photography is allowed for personal use. However, flash photography and videography may be restricted in certain areas to protect the exhibits. Please follow the gallery's guidelines when taking photos.
